Enchanted visits
Proposed in the form of story-telling or dramatised walks and riddles to solve, these fun visits are always linked to the history of the castle… and of the Dauphiné. Like the good little detectives they are for the occasion, your children will go back in time and happily follow the thread of history. Throughout the visit, they scrutinise, spot, observe and get their eyes full of curiosity.
Push the doors of the Castle of Virieu and discover the Key to Mystery (on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the spring, summer and All Saints’ Day holidays) or those of the Castle of Vaulserre (in August) to discover the history of the animals at the castle (based on the fables of Jean de La Fontaine).
A visit for children from 3 to 10 years old. Booking is essential.
Historical animations
What better way to interest children in a visit to the castle than to immerse them in medieval times?
On the first Sunday of the month, the company of the Lames du Dauphiné will take you back to history at the château de Virieu. Throughout the day and guided tours, the actors of the Compagnie des Lames du Dauphiné will enliven the place and bring the atmosphere of yesteryear to life, through various activities of the chosen period (dramatised fencing, sword fighting…) and workshops (weapons, cooking, games of the period…).
Possibility to come at any time between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month from June to October. From 7 to 77 years old.
Conduct the survey at the castles
Carry out the survey in an exceptional setting via a theatrical show (lasting almost 1h30), which is both ambulatory and interactive ! Discover the different characters scattered around the castle, laugh a lot and solve enigmas and challenges. As a team, trust each other to get to the end of the game.
The survey evenings take place in September and October at the castles of Passage, Vaulserre and Vallin . From 8 years old.
A guided tour of Vallin Castle
In a setting straight out of fairy tales, let yourself be told the story of the Vallin castle and its forest. Discover the curiosities of the castle via an unusual tour specially designed for children. Let yourself be lulled by the stories of the castle throughout the seasons:
