Two events, two consecutive years
The roads of the VDD will first be the playground for young riders (from the cadets – U15 – U17, juniors – U19 and U23 categories), from 6 to 10 August 2025. Then it’s time for the “Elite”, with professionals from the four corners of France competing against each other from 25 to 28 June 2026.
The unique landscape of the Vals du Dauphiné makes it an ideal setting for these two major sporting events. They will bring together the best French riders, men and women, amateurs and professionals, and all the contenders for the French Champion’s jersey.
From 06 to 10 August 2025: the future of cycling
One year before the Elite CFCs, we will be hosting the French Avenir Road Championships (for youth categories).
From 25 to 28 June 2026: time for cycling’s ‘elite’ category
‘Le défi des Vals’: a must-see sporting event!
As part of the French Cycling Championships, the Communauté de communes Les vals du Dauphiné and the COTNI are organising a cyclosportive open to all, entitled ‘Le défi des Vals’, on Friday 8 August 2025.
If you like a challenge, this is the race for you!

- East route: 51.9 km – 632 m ascent
- South route: 107.5 km – 1 731 m ascent
- Family route: 17.7 km – 177 m ascent
