Built in the 16th century in a Renaissance style. The facade is registered as Historic Monument due to its Antiquity architecture style.
This beautiful house probably dates from the end of the 16th century and is characteristic of urban Renaissance residences. The façade on the street is full of decorative elements referring to Greek and Roman antiquity. The house still retains its spiral staircase leading to a vaulted basement. Restored a few years ago, the building now houses various public places : on the first floor, a reception area, an exhibition room and the "Maison du Patrimoine (heritage house)", which presents private collections and is open by the association "La Tour Prend Garde".
Due to its position, this building played an important role in the street, a former royal way. Its name reminds us that the third "lineage" of the Dauphins came from the De La Tour family - lord of the place.
