Combe Lambert and the ridge path

A walk through Montrevel's woods which will make you discover a part of our dauhpinoise history. Then the landscape will open on one of the most beautiful views of the Vals du Dauphiné.

Starting point at Montrevel's town. Parking in front of Montrevel’s church. The circuit goes up on the path along the church.

Montrevel’s woods are full of history. The village, which dominates the valley of the Hien, has a castle called « Château désert (Empty Castle) ». The site of the chapel of Notre-Dame d’Artézieux, where stories and legends mix together, are worth stopping for (Information signs). In Montrevel, you will find several beautiful ancient houses with remarkable architecture.

Once out of the wood, the path on the heights between "Bois du Seigneur" and "Radio-Balise" certainly offers you one of the most beautiful views of the Vals du Dauphiné with the castle of Virieu and the Chartreuse massif in the background.

Finally, the trail follows, between Doissin and Notre-Dame d’Artézieux, the old path linking the two towns, and from where one can admire, in the direction of the marshes, the buildings of an old tile factory.

Follow the yellow marked path and the crossroads:
-Montrevel
-La Touqueta
-Bois vert
-Taillis
-Bois du seigneur

A variant is possible, from « Bois vert », the way back can be done directly on « Notre-Dame d’Artézieux » (small loop).
